Screen Capture protection is possible in Android App, IOS App or IOS browser with 100% surity. Desktop browsers can prevent screen capture in 70% to 80% cases but can not prevent in rest of cases. Android browsers can prevent screen capture with few modifications required on account level. Desktop and Android can have viewer-specific watermarking to discourage\/deter users from screen capture. Below are all details on it.<\/p>\n

  1. Windows Desktop\/Laptop<\/strong> – Screen capture can not be prevented in any browser with 100% surity, it is preventable in 70% to 80% cases. This limitation is true for all other DRM\/video platform companies as well as it is based on browser and DRM limitations. (Chrome, Firefox, Edge etc. which are supported via Widevine<\/a> DRM currently)<\/li>\n
  2. Mac Desktop\/Laptop<\/strong> – Screen capture can only be prevented in Safari with Fairplay DRM upgrade\u00a0<\/a>. Screen capture can not be prevented in other main browsers like Chrome, Firefox.<\/li>\n
  3. Linux Desktop\/Laptop<\/strong> – Screen capture can not be prevented in any browser. (Chrome, Firefox etc.)<\/li>\n
  4. IOS Safari<\/strong> – Screen capture can be prevented in Safari with Fairplay DRM upgrade.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0 (Needs separate application process with Apple and Value or higher plan. More details in config section of dashboard.<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  5. IOS App<\/strong> –\u00a0Screen capture can be prevented in Native Flutter or React Native App with Fairplay DRM upgrade.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0 (Needs separate application process with Apple and Value or higher plan. More details in config section of dashboard.<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  6. Android Browsers (Chrome, Samsung, Bravo etc.)<\/strong> – Screen capture prevention not guaranteed default. But there is an option to enable our app player Zenplayer to enable screen capture protection in android browsers with use of our app player. Please contact support@vdocipher.com for more details on it.<\/li>\n
  7. Android App<\/strong> – Screen capture prevented in Apps (Native\/Flutter\/React Native App) with our SDK integration.<\/a><\/li>\n
  8. User-specific watermark<\/strong> is available on Desktop and Chrome to discourage screen capture. More details here.<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 Demo of watermark here.\u00a0<\/a> Note that our watermark is an html5 overlay. We have put efforts in making it hard to remove, but still there is a small chance that it can be removed by someone through technical efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
